On July 4th, OSR creator, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel, took part in a conference with Balak and Hirasawa Nao on the influence of Japan on French artists and the prospect of future collaborations between the two countries.
The opening of Oban Star-Racers, as well as the pilot of the 2 Queens was screened.
Noting that the market had changed tremendously these past few years, with the rise of streaming platforms, and that a new generation of French animators, who had grown watching anime and reading mangas, was becoming more and more efficient, Savin expressed the hope that the path Sav! The World opened with Oban Star-Racers would hopefully lead to more such collaborations soon – including on Sav the World’s own projects!
